Objective:
Produce 160,000 small pieces of glass to be made
into night lights. These night lights were used by
Trinity Broadcasting Network as their September,
1996 "Love Gift."
Challenge:
Time and quality were again factors; under the
shadow of a deadline, we had to produce
consistently high-quality pieces of a unique shape.
Once cut, each piece had to be sanded to prevent
the user from being cut.
Solution:
Our CAD designing and cnc glass cutting system were
able to produce the pieces, but we had to add an
extra shift to get it done. We also employed high
school students in trade programs to operate the
sanding machines.
